Chess Knights

Open middle school to adult
Do you find yourself dreaming of chess Knight and Day? Are you the second coming of Bobby Fisher? Bored of playing against the computer? Then drop in to Chess Knights, a fun, social meet up to sharpen your skills. We will have a limited number of chess boards to use, but feel free to bring a favorite board and pieces.
Family Feud

It’s time to play…FAMILY FEUD! Guess the most common answer to not so common questions. The more popular your answers are, the more points you will earn for your team. Who decides what a popular answer is? The wonderful staff here at Ida have graciously answered a survey of questions just for you! Sign up now!

Youth Programming
Builder’s Club
2nd Wednesday of the Month at 3:30PM

Join Ida’s Builder’s Club where you can show off your creativity by building with LEGOs! We will have different challenges, themes, and contests along the way in this once a month Builders Club!
Each child must be registered separately.

Join us for Club Next! Each month will be a different theme where we will have different games, crafting materials, Chromebooks, Nintendo Switch Games, and activities for you to do while you hang out at the library. This program is designated for youth (2nd-5th grade).

Create and Chill Take Home Kits
Teens (Ages 14-16)
January 15- Paint Your Own Bookmark
February 12- DIY Paper Lanterns
Attention all teens! We have a crafty kit just for you! Each kit includes all the materials and easy-to-follow instructions needed for a unique DIY craft project.
Kits are available for pick up at the lower level circulation desk about 15th of the month and must be picked up before the last day of the month.
Registration Required. One registration form per person.
Free Build Fridays

Join us for Free Build Friday on the lower level of the library. Come free build with LEGO bricks with us!

Story Sprouts
Wednesdays at 10:30AM
Ida Public Library Meeting Room on the Lower Level
Join us on Wednesday mornings on the lower level in the meeting room for Story Sprouts! This weekly program is perfect for your preschool-age (3-5 years old) reader to engage in stories, activities, and crafts!

Tiny Tales/Open Play
Thursdays at 10:30AM

Tiny Tales is for Ida’s tiniest readers to socialize and engage in early literacy! Tiny Tales Story Time is designed for babies from newborn to 2 years and their caregiver(s)! This story time happens on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.
Bring your little one to Open Play with us! On the first, third, and occasionally the 5th Thursday of the month at 10:30am to socialize, play, and learn!
Each child needs to be registered separately.
Winter Whimsy Youth Take Home Kits
Kits are available for pick up on the first of the month and must be picked up before the 15th of the month.

February: Valentine’s Butterfly Card
Cozy up with a fun craft for those slow snow days! Pick up a Winter Whimsy Workshop Make & Take Kit, filled with instructions and supplies you’ll need to make some fun crafts in the comfort of your own home!

We know how busy you are so this winter we will be featuring take home craft kits to encourage your creativity and lessen your stress levels. A different kit will be offered the second week of each month. You just register, pick up the kit, and have fun crafting. Kits can be picked up at the upper level circulation desk

Chair Yoga for Adults

Start your Tuesday morning off right with Chair Yoga! This workout session is perfect for individuals of all different ages, stages, and physical ability. The stretching and breathing in these yoga inspired moves will help increase flexibility, mobility, and calming of the mind.

Friday Focus

End your week with clarity and calm. Friday Focus is a guided meditation program to help you release the mental clutter of the week and realign with your goals and values. Different mediation hangouts including journaling prompts and breathing exercises will be available to get your journey started.
