Join us for a Festive Fall!

Share your creative talents at the library this autumn with monthly artistic and creative challenges for all ages!  Each month, challenge entries will be added to a special Facebook gallery.  Then, you’ll get to vote on your favorite entries!

September: Digital Art Gallery

Do you paint? Quilt? Sculpt? Do you like to glue googly eyes onto things?  Regardless of your skill level, send in your favorite artwork you’ve created, from decorated cakes to origami, and we’ll create a virtual local art gallery! Entries accepted from September 1 – 20. Voting takes place September 21 -28, and winners will be notified by September 30th.

Congratulations to Taya Bundschuh, our under 18 contest winner, and Bobbi, our over 18 winner.

Thank you to all who participated!

October: Virtual Halloween Party

If you’re missing Halloween as much as we are, join in the spooky fun with a month-long virtual Halloween celebration: featuring not one, but four fun Halloween-themed challenges!  Participate in our virtual Halloween house walk by sharing a photo of your Halloween decorations.  Pick up a pumpkin from the library, paint or carve it at home, and share your results with us with a chance to win a prize for best dressed pumpkin!  Next, show off your costume by joining our virtual costume parade. And finally, flex your spooky or humorous skills by reading a favorite campfire story – or telling your own original!
