Apply for a Library Card Online
Residents of the city of Belvidere (“residents”) and Belvidere city property owners (“non-resident property owners” or “NRPO”) are now able to apply for a library card online. Online sign up gives you immediate access to eBooks and other online resources.
If you do not live within the City of Belvidere nor own property within the City, you likely are what is called a “non-resident” of any library district. Please inquire about the cost of a non-resident library card. See the library card page for details on non-resident cards.
Request a Card
To apply for a library card, complete the online form. A library staff member will contact you via email to complete the process and provide a library card number. This card number will give you immediate access to our online resources and is valid for 30 days.
For your card to remain valid, and to receive a physical library card, please bring a valid photo ID to the library within 30 days.
By submitting this form, I apply for the right to use the Library and agree to obey its rules, take good care of the materials I borrow, pay all fines or damages charged to me and give prompt notice of address change.
I understand that I am responsible for all materials checked out on this card.
